Lassana Diarra continues to train with Hammers

lassana-diarra-real-madridAccording to several reliable sources, free agent Lassana Diarra continues to train with West Ham in hope of securing a permanent contract and to proof his fitness levels. It is claimed Diarra has been training with Hammer’s head of medicine Stijn Vandenbroucke, whom he previously worked with at Anzhi Makhachkala.

The 29-year-old French man was previously  played  for Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid has been linked with a move to Celtic or QPR.

  1. He’d be a good addition because he can play right back and provide emergency cover there in the same way that kouyate can fill in at centre back. He’s a top player though and wouldn’t come cheap.

  2. BUT…. You have to question why is he is a Free Agent?

  3. Any relation to Alou? He didn’t endear himself to our illustrious manager during his well paid visit to Upton Park.

  4. I would sooner offer him a one year contract with the chance of more years if he proves himself,he looks a better prospect than Fletcher and he could be the cover we need at the back and in midfield,he can’t be that bad if he played for the teams you mentioned, but I do agree I would ask about and find out why those teams let him go before taking a chance,if Sakho was willing to play for 15k to prove himself first then to me that’s the benchmark if he wants more let him go find it elsewhere.

  5. Its on SSN, short term contract, btw, I fancy us against Southampton even though it was the worst we’ve played when we met earlier

  6. Forgot to say SA will be on talking about Diarra in a while during his news conference

  7. Decent player, aint see him play for a couple of years though while he has been in russia. But why not offer him a short term contract,we have nothing to lose.If it doesnt work out he goes.If he produces the goods then fair play.He doesnt have much to live up to with regards to his name.Any Diarra will be better than the last one we had 😉

  8. He could be just what we need, certainly has pace and can break forward well !
