We’re well past hoping Liverpool’s players all recover well for next weekend’s clash: This is no time for nobility on the sports ground. West Ham need a win. We’d hope that the Reds’ walking wounded all recover well – but the day after next weeks encounter would be preferable, ensuring Arne Slot puts out a B side – who we thrash.
Back in the real world, there is, it seems, some encouraging news for West Ham fans ahead of Saturday’s annual trip to Anfield.
According to 3addedminutes Liverpool do have serious fitness issues ahead of West Ham rocking up:
“With Wirtz now in need of treatment, Arne Slot could be forced to make do without as many as eight players for the upcoming Premier League match against West Ham United – with Jeremie Frimpong and Alexander Isak among the players who are either out or doubts for the game at Anfield.”

Arne Slot has a host of fitness issues ahead of West Ham’s visit
The report then details the Liverpool players who are likely to miss the Hammers’ next round of their relegation marathon which has just eleven games to run.
Wirtz remains a potential doubt for the match against West Ham and Isak will definitely be out until April at least. Alongside doubtful Jeremy Frimpong, Slot will also be without Conor Bradley ,Giovanni Leoni and Wataru Endo. whilst Midfielder Stefan Bajčetić and youngsterJayden Danns will also not be fit in time for next weekend. Potentially eight missing.
West Ham are waiting for a fitness update regarding Mavropanos who clashed with Bournemouth’s goal keeper and hobbled through most of the second half: Pablo of course is still recuperating but Liverpools’ absent eight could tip the scales further towards – if nothing else- the best chance the Hammers’ visitors will have had since 2015.
We’re on good form, one point more than Liverpool in the last five. I’ll likely be calling it as a draw.
We are not on anything like relegation form, were sixth in the last five form table and twelfth in the last ten form table.
Tottenham are on relegation form, bottom of both the last five and last ten form tables. Two points from the last five played and seven points from the last ten played. They need to turn things around big time.
Tottenham most definitely do not need to turn things around. If anything, they need to get worse
