It’s that time of the week again when we turn our attention to the prediction business in general and Mark Lawrenson in particular.
Unsurprisingly, the former Liverpool manager is going for another defeat for the Hammers despite us being unbeaten in the Premier League since opening day.
No real surprises there as old habits tend to die hard and this time it’s home advantage he claims will count in the absence of anything more substantive.
As he explains, both teams lost in midweek after fine weekend saying this can happen when you “mess around and change your team with LOTS of changes.”
Hard not to agree but he adds: “For a better indication of their form, look at how they did in the Premier League last weekend. Both teams managed impressive victories, with the Cherries getting a really good win at Southampton and West Ham seeing off Manchester United.
The Hammers have not won this fixture since the 2015-16 season, so how they do at Bournemouth will be a good indication of their progress.
But Eddie Howe’s side are playing well and have got home advantage, so I am backing them to come out on top, just.
Lawro’s prediction: 2-1
CandH says: It’s hard to go for a victory in the circumstances although being West Ham that would never come as a surprise and would be very welcome indeed. We do see goals but reckon a draw is a more realistic outcome despite the Cherries having just one in six outings whilst we have the two from Brighton and Villa. Both teams like to play the right way and we have everything crossed for the win but a point looks on the cards to us
CandH prediction 2-2

Yep I’m going 0-2 to the hammers because they need to show their consistency and fight . I reckon we’re hp for this and need to show more then we did against villa .COYI
Yeah I’ll go for a 2-2 draw too.
