Mark Lawrenson has little to say about the game at Spurs on Sunday deciding that a predicted scoreline is probably enough.
It’s not really and there were plenty of words that could have been written after the shock results against Leicester in our case and Spuds’ at Manchester United.
A 3-0 win away by the irons and a cray 6-1 by the north Londoners deserves more surely that straightforward predicted 2-1 home win with no reasons given.
We could be in for a real thriller and the Hammers will travel with no fear after their last to two results but beyond pointing out that the manager has been in isolation the BBC pundit has very little more to say about the game.
He points put that Gareth Bale could make an appearance although frankly he may well not be involved in the startng line-up against a Hammers team which could be a very dificulut proposition for Mourinoh’s mob.
Lawrenson simply says: “We might get a first look at Gareth Bale in action for Tottenham too, if he is fit, but they have been doing pretty well without him to be honest.
I’m going for a Spurs win, whether Bale features or not.”
Lawro’s prediction: 2-1
No surprise from Lawrenson ; but like the rest of us has no real idea of the team that Moyes will kick off with . There will the usual predictions , no doubt from various forums , but Moyes has a growing reputation of springing the odd surprise . Therefore any score predicted is just based on a feeling rather than considered analysis .
Hoping for some very late and welcoming news today .
COYHAMMERS
I hope the international games have affected both sides equally, they are a complete waste of time much like the nations league itself, we don’t need international football at the end of every season. These players need a break to let their bodies recover. I am worried about whether Soucek and Rice can hit the right intensity for this game but hope they can COYI!!!
