BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts a 2-1 defeat for the Hammers on Sunday.
Lawro told BBC website readers “Even without the injured Declan Rice, West Ham were impressive against Wolves on Monday evening, but this is a much bigger test for them. Leicester were outplayed by Manchester City last time out, but I don’t think you can really read too much into that – Brendan Rodgers’ team are still a very good side. West Ham have shown they are too, and they have done brilliantly to get in the top four, just one place below the Foxes.
It is going to be hard for both of them to stay there, but of the two I think Leicester have got the better chance. They blew up from a similar position last season, but this time they have got a better team and a better squad.”
West Ham fan predictions:
ITK EXWHUEmployee says “2-2 both teams have had great seasons and had both rice and Antonio been fit I would have thought we could have edged it but without them I think we will do well to get this result”
Stelios from Irons United Youtube channel “With three-quarters of the spine of our team out (Ogbonna, Rice and Antonio), many pundits would not give us much hope against Leicester. But, squad depth will be crucial and Bowen will relish his striker role. 2-1 West Ham, Bowen getting the winner!”
Animator and filmmaker Canning Town Len “2-3 loss to West Ham our defence is looking fragile, and Leicester City are just the team to make a crack in it.”
West Ham Till I Die blogger David Hautzig “1-2 to Leicester. I’m going to ride the “our luck will run out” train just a bit longer. Especially with our suddenly more porous defence.”
Claret and Hugh Associate editor Sean Whetstone “Hammers will do the double over Leicester and with great performance from Jesse Lingard with a narrow 1-0 win over the Foxes”
