Lawro’s back with a surprise verdict

|

Mark Lawrenson is back!

The former BBC pundit is now giving his predictions to Paddy Power and he has broken the successive run of Manchester City win verdicts we have been receiving from here , there and everywhere.

Lawro always had a reputation for having a healthy dislike of the Hammers but he has been well impressed with what he has seen so far this season.

And speaking to his new site he makes it clear that he believes Pep Guardiola’s outfit is in for a very difficult game at the London Stadium and believes the Hammers will come out of the game with a draw.

That would be a quite remarkable achievement against a team that now has 12 points from four games and all the more extraordinary coming from the former Liverpool star.

Giving his verdict he gave a very good explanation as to why he thought things would go that way saying: “I’m going to have a draw in this game actually.

If you said that to David Moyes right now he’d snap your hand off. They way they set up is very much focused on trying not to concede and making it very difficult so I’ll go for a draw.

West Ham 1-1 Manchester City.”
