Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Manchester United will beat West Ham this weekend.
Lawro continually backs the Hammers to lose, and has done just that again.
The Irons will take on United at the London Stadium, with the two clubs both in fine form.
The Hammers have yet to lose in the league this season, beating both Newcastle and Leicester, and drawing with Crystal Palace and Southampton.
United, by comparison, have beaten Leeds, Wolves, and Newcastle, and drawn with Southampton.
Lawrenson now believes that United will pick up a potentially morale-boosting win this weekend, with the Irons consigned to their first loss of the campaign.
Indeed, Mikey Antonio is set to be absent from the clash, because he was sent off in the draw with Saints, receiving two yellow cards, the latter of which came in injury time.
And that, coupled with the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to United, has led Lawrenson to predict a United win.
Writing in his BBC Sport column, he said: “West Ham striker Michail Antonio is suspended for this game which is a massive blow for them.
“I know Manchester United were far from impressive in the Champions League in midweek but I don’t think it will stop them from making it out of their group.
“If anything, it could be beneficial. The hype around Cristiano Ronaldo’s return might have meant a few people were getting carried away but that defeat should focus them, and remind them how much work they have got to do.”
Prediction: 2-0 Man United
