Lazio say no deal with West Ham on Keita Balde

|

Keita-Balde-Diao-Manchester-United-751324Lazio have received offers for Keita Balde but none have come from Inter or Juventus and no acceptable offers have been accepted says Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

Juventus, Inter Milan and West Ham are all said to have an interest in the 22-year-old forward who scored 16 goals in 31 appearances in the Italian league last season.

“If there’s nothing new then he’ll remain a Lazio player and coach Simone Inzaghi will use him as he sees fit.

“I haven’t received offers from Inter or Juventus, but they have come from abroad. If he wants to go, he must get an appropriate bid.”

Last week an Italian journalist claimed West Ham had reportedly agreed on a €32m deal with the Italian club’s chairman, Lotito for Balde but he has since denied a deal is in place.

West Ham were briefly bookies favourites when news first broke about the deal but have since slipped to second favourites behind Inter Milan as rumours cooled on his imminent departure.

I think this was an obvious outcome.
As much as I would have liked us to sign him, I didn’t think it would happen.

    Seems media generated.
    Good player, though.

With all the firepower on the way where does Carroll stand or more to the point sit?

Hang on this report for those who bother to read it in full is full of contradictions that leave the true facts unclear. Nothing has really changed he is an outside chance as it’s arguable he wants to leave Italy but the club need to sell him so if no opportunities to stay arise then the club will push for him to move elsewhere to the highest offer. Presently we seem to be the only ones to yet show serious interest but that may well change. So people this is non news that changes nothing overall.

If we’ve signed him it would be a dream come true…for me, maybe not him lol…I believe he would have as big an impact as payet did….but the chances are slim and none and slims out of town

The player has said he wants to stay in Italy, that is a fact, he also said he was fit for their preseason trip aboard but left at home by the club, the club want to sell the player that is clear which when you look at his quality and age must tell you something if you read between the lines.

Well personally I had never heard of him before he was mentioned on here. I’ve never seen him kick a football!! So obviously that gives me all I need to know to give an opinion lol. It does surprise me how much some of the younger fans know about football away from these shores. Anyhow, I know it’s not my problem but I’m beginning to worry about where all these players will play! I mean you ain’t going to sign a player for £30M and stick him on the bench. Chico ain’t joining us to sit on the bench. £20M Ayew ain’t going to want bench time or Lanzini. Same goes for AC when fit or Sulky Sakho. At most we will play only 40-50 matches.

I know I know I know we need a strong squad to challenge the big teams and there will be injuries etc but all the same. Guess I’ve been West Ham too long!

I notice the moaners and the groaners have quietened down now, I wonder if they will put their hands up maybe after Chico joins after Tuesday and acknowledge they’ve been talking ****e since May? Fair play if they do. No respect if they don’t.

If we really are going to buy another couple of players of this quality after Chico has joined then you have to acknowledge that will be quite a squad and with a fair wind, injuries and refs decisions dependant, we could challenge top 4 like we did 14/15 till new year and season 15/16 till the last 2 matches.

Fair play to the board and Tony Henry. Ditto Terry Westly. Feeling very upbeat about the team off the pitch too now with the ex-hammers in place and Lewin and Beasley joining. Anyone else getting good vibes and thinking maybe just maybe this club are on the up?

Hi John, yes very happy with the business done so far, hopefully we can get Hernandez over the line and maybe a target man, then even if we don’t do another deal I would say it has been a very good window, the players look sharper so far than last season also which was my main criticism so at this early stage am very optimistic like you COYI !!!

    X 2 John. Defo mate.

I have always found it helpful to wait for a transfer window closure before moaning about what has or hasnt happened….starting in May and June is hysteria for fans with quivering bottom lips and trembling hands…

    • John says:

Lol James. Quivering hands trembling lip and damp pants. It’s a terrible state to be in 😂😂

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Wise words James , at present I would like a update on Antonio , Reid , sakho , and superman, are they full on training or will they miss the start like chieck? While they are out then others leaving becomes hamtied and incoming becomes less likely 🙂
Have a word Sean if poss mate 🙂 I mean how can you do a poll with fegs and snods still involved 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’ve read somewhere that Balde can be difficult and thinks a lot of himself – a bit of a figjam (as the Aussies used to call Kevin Pietersen).
The Youtube footage is classy though. Pace and quality finishing.

  • markro says:

With everyone (except Kouyate) fit for the Mancs game, this would be a decent side:

    Hart

    Zab
    Reid
    Oggy

    Antonio
    Obiang
    Fernandes
    Masuaku

    Lanzini
    Arnie
    Hernandez

Bench: Adrian, Cresswell, Burke, Noble, Ayew, Sakho, Carroll

Can’t see Bilic agreeing with that though.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

      Yes I can’t see it either, I think he will go 3 5 1 1,

      Hart
      Fonte/Collins Reid Oggy
      Zab, Obiang, Lanzini,Noble, Cresswell
      Arnie,
      Hernandez

What I would like to see is

Adrian,(Because Hart should have to prove himself)
      Zab, Collins, Reid, Masuaku,
      Antonio, Lanzini, Obiang,Arnie,
      Sakho,(If fit), Hernandez

Bench: GK + Cresswell, Ogbonna, Fernandes, Ayew, Feghouli, Carroll.
