Leeds facing big player shortage

LeedsĀ  do not have that many players available for the clash with West Ham in the FA Cup this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side returned to winning ways with their 3-1 victory over Burnley at the weekend and are next in action against the Hammers on Sunday in the third round of the tournament.

They have a number of players still on the treatment table, though, even if some first-team stars did return to action at the weekend against the Clarets.

Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente, Daniel James and Jack Harrison were all back but they still face a number of issues with their squad.

Per Leeds Live, Tyler Roberts limped out of the Burnley game, while Llorente will be suspended after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season.

Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are both out, with Jamie Shackleton, Charlie Cresswell, Rodrigo and Pascal Struijk are all set to be missing.

That’s no fewer than eight first-team players absent, although Patrick Bamford could well return.

The Hammers, perhaps, will be able to rotate.
