Leeds get injury boost

Leeds have been given an injury boost ahead of the clash with West Ham this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa has a huge number of players who are currently out, with Premier Injuries claiming that 11 players could be absent for the game.

However, Junior Firpo, who is listed as a potential doubt, has now confirmed that he is fit to play in the game this weekend.

The full-back started the FA Cup game between the two sides, which the Hammers won 2-0, but left the pitch due to a dizzy spell.

He has now revealed, though, that he does not have concussion and that he will be available to be selected by manager Bielsa.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, he said: “We just followed the protocols for this type of thing. I feel good, I’m fit.”

Firpo has made 16 appearances in all competitions thus far this season, and is formerly of Barcelona, playing 41 times in total at the Camp Nou.

He joined Leeds in the summer transfer window and has slotted straight into their first-team.
