Leeds smashed as Hammers slip a place after Palace win

|

Crystal Palace came from behind to smash Leeds 5-1 and ensure the Elland Road outfit remained a point behind the Hammers.

However it mean the Irons slipped to 15th from 14th place after the gritty win over Fulham at Craven Cottage yesterday whilst Palace moved into 12th.

Leeds are now on 29 points and in 16th place with Southampton, Leicester  City, Nottingham Forest and Everton beneath them,

The 6-1 defeat also means that they are now three goals worse off on goal difference to us with only second bottom Leicester on the same us at at minus 12.

The next round of games will be important with Arsenal arriving at the London Stadium with Saints at home to Palace, Leicester away at Manchester City, Nottingham Forest at home to Manchester United and Everton at Goodison Park where Fulham represent the opposition.

Leeds, meanwhile, welcome Liverpool for the Monday night game with the relegation stakes for all teams remaining a serious backdrop.

I managed to watch the Liverpool v’s Arse game today…
It will be interesting to find out what the general consensus will be when we meet up with the Arse next Sunday?
Do we go all out guns blazing… or do we shut up shop and fight for the point?
Before the Newcastle game, our goal difference was great in comparison to the teams in and around us, and still is at -12.
I would like to think that we still have enough about us to escape the relegation trap door though.
