Leeds starlet was Hammers target

COOKFormer West Ham head of player recruitment Martyn Glover admits that during his time as Hammers head of recruitment Leed’s Lewis Cook was on the Hammers’ radar. Glover who has just left West Ham to take up his new post with Leeds says the starlet Cook was firmly on his radar last season.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds today, Glover explained: “I showed a lot of interest in Lewis Cook last season to be fair. So it’s ironic when you sit down and are looking at the players who are at Leeds at the minute and I was going through them with Uwe and said ‘watch this kid, if you haven’t watched a lot of him’ and highlighting the strengths and weaknesses”

  1. Maybe Curtis couldn’t sign the young fella up so no deal was attempted.

  2. Another midfielder not a right back ?
We need other positions filled before we go after more midfielders

  3. He was looking at him for Hippo last season.Just filling in time while everyone ignored him & Henry did the recruiting for DS 😉
