Left back agent confirms Hammers interest

LeftWest Ham are in a three-horse race to sign talented Ghana Under-17 defender Rashid Alhassan, GHANAsoccernet.com claim today.

Hannover 96 and Chicago Fire in addition to West Ham are all said to keeping tabs on the highly rated young left-back.

The 17-year-old has been linked to a host of clubs in recent weeks but the Hammers are one of the favourites to sign him.

The agent of the rising star Samuel Akoto Asante has confirmed the interest of the three clubs.

There are several interest at the moment. But I can speak of the ones from West Ham and Chicago Fire from the US,”he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“Hannover are also interested in his services. We’ll look at the best option before deciding on his future.

“He is currently with Ghana’s U17 squad for the World Cup in India and so the situation will be clearer after the tournament. No need to rush and make any pronouncements but that’s the situation with him at the moment.
