Leicester defender comes out of surgery

Leicester defender Dan Amartey says  he has had successful surgery after a horror injury in his game against West Ham on Saturday.

The full-back was stretchered off after appearing to twist his left ankle towards the end of Leicester’s 1-1 draw against West Ham after a clash with Michail Antonio.  He appeared to catch his studs in the turf and twisted his leg. He left the field on a stretcher with his leg in a brace and needed oxygen.

Amartey posted an update on Twitter “Came out of a successful surgery, but devastating news about the demise of our chairman. A generous man, to whom @LCFC owes everything. I’m sure, you’re in a much better place. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the families of the victims affected by this tragedy
