Maddison available for Hammers clash

James Maddision is available for Leicester City thus ensuring a serious midfield battle between himself and either Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek or both at the London Stadium on Monday evening.

Maddison has regularly been linked with Arsenal this season but he remains around to ensure a high quality clash against one or the other of our pair in a game which promises much.

City will bring the same squad to London as scored a 1-0 victory over Wolves at the king Power last weekend as both teams look to continue their winning starts.

The one absentee from the squad will be Ryan Bertrand remains unavailable for Leicester City after a positive Covid test last week.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he will remain on the sidelines for Monday’s trip to West Ham. Luke Thomas is therefore likely to keep his starting spot.

James Maddison is fit to play after sustaining a knock to his back in last weekend’s game, but Jonny Evans is unavailable.

“The squad will be about what we had last weekend,” Rodgers said at his press conference on Friday afternoon. “Ryan Bertrand won’t be available. It’s mostly the same, but Timothy Castagne will be available.”
