Leroy give Newcastle v Irons verdict

|

LEROY (1)Don’t worry about Newcastle getting a draw from Manchester United in their last game tells you everything – two rubbish defences with both conceding three goals apiece.

I have no doubt after what I saw at Bournemouth that West Ham will win at Newcastle  this afternoon and reach the landmark of their longest ever undefeated Premier League run.

It’s a real shame about Andy Carroll and I’d feel happier if Slav can find an alternative to Jelavic up front. He’s not a player I like and was disappointed when he was signed .

Enner Valencia is looking very good at last – inspired by Payet whom as I said yesterday, makes every player perform better. He may be able to play up there. Surely he can’t offer less than Jelavic.

Sorry to be so negative about the lad but it seems to me that he doesn’t really have a great deal to offer other than the odd goal and if an offer does come in for him as rumoured, then I’m sure the Irons will take it.

Newcastle have conceded 38 goals this season and are, from what I’ve seen, a poor side but a team in their position are no pushovers.

Payet though is sensational and is unstoppable when he’s on his game which looks better than ever since he returned.Defensively we look better than we have for a long long time and that Winston Reid is having to hope for a recall tells you everything.

I’m going for a 2-1 Hammers win with Payet and Valencia again doing the business.

Don’t have a downer on Jelavic he is what he is and Slav has time for him which means he will work hard for the boss,
But sating that I said all week I would attack the Wallies defence which is nearly as dodgy as Liverpoors,
Valencia,Antonio and Moses up front if they are fit with the Ring Master Payet sitting just behind making the killer passes,
Then you need 2 stoppers in front of the defence winning the ball and giving it to Payet,
Obiang is a must and if fit Kouate is the best along side him then Song and Noble ready on the bench with Jelavic if we change the system,
The defence picks it self defend first Tomkins,Ogbonna,Ginge and Cresswell
With Jenkinson on the bench with Oxford if the system change,
Just a would be plastic coaches opinion
