Hammers to win – but let’s all get behind Randolph

LEROY (1)It’s vital the Irons take three points from tomorrow’s game against Bournemouth. And I believe they will.

Despite their injury problems and the absence of Adrian in goal, I believe they have enough in the locker to see off The Cherries, who have been talking up their performance at Anfield.

Okay, it wasn’t bad. But it’s no good playing alright and never threatening the opposition goal! So I think they, and us, should get the Anfield performance in perspective.

Randolph_2873714Our back-up keeper, Darren Randolph, has had his critics after some uncertain performances in the Europa League, but very often the arrival of a new stopper gives the back four an added edge as they do all they can to help him.

I think he’ll be fine. He’s an international after all. But we do all need to get behind the lad.

There’s no question who our main man in the outfield will be again – Dimitri Payet. He really does look as though he could be one of the buys of the season. It’s also time for Diafra Sakho to come good on the goal scoring front, so I’m backing him for the first one.

The Cherries will look to Callum Wilson up front to provide the goal threat. But it’s a game which I believe the Hammers will (and must) win.

Six points from the first three games would be a great start and I don’t think the lads will fail us.

  1. Agreed, let’s get behind him instead of worrying about a few bad performances.

  2. lets hope we are in a more dominant ( and aggressive ) mood than we were against Leicester. I believe we will be because Bilic would have worked on that all week. It’s the way we will disrupt Bournmouths smooth passing game. If we do that we will gain control and get those 3 points. As Leroy so rightly says get behind the keeper, even if he makes a mistake.

  3. It is allways the same with keepers people only remember the bad things!!! i seem to remember him making a few good saves also.. The man is an international ffs how bad can he be?? I hope he plays a blinder but saying that really he should not have much to do COYI

    • ha ha you obviously don’t remember McNightmare.
But I agree he had a good game in Romania, and I’m sure he will have another one tomorrow, with our support.

  4. Tbh i dont think anyone of us in the ground will not be behind Randolph & encouraging him.It is more the forum experts who will be rubbishing him tomorrow on match threads on a certain site, probably before a ball has even been kicked 😉

    • Well Radai if all of us in the stadium get behind him (immediately behind him) it might be for the best if we can fill the goal up it should help us to keep a clean sheet. Only joking of course, I hope he proves me and others wrong, he is going to get that opportunity so good luck to him and us for a great result COYI !!

  5. Yeah, would just be good to not solely rely on our single capable and fit striker!!

  6. A very very tough fixture -As with Leicester wrong team at the wrong time ( I would have rather played Chelsea last week ! ) we will need to score a few to beat Bournemouth !

  7. Wait till Sakho comes back from Senagal injured, then you really could be crying into your beer, lol

  8. Let’s not worry about the twelve goals Bournemouth put past him in two games last season. This is a new season so let’s get behind the chap. And in front of him.

  9. We should not just be hoping Payet is the only person to win games for us,
Let’s hope we have a gem in Lanzini to because unless it Noble from the spot and with Tomkins not on the pitch you have to wonder where all these goals are going to come from,
Be nice to see some youth on the bench next to Tomkins young Viking,Lee,Callum,
Add Jarvis and Nolan plus a Keeper
At least this would give us options up front if things don’t work out,

  10. I just hope we can put in a positive performance. A lot of negativity this week surrounding the squad but the noises coming out the team itself are positive and that they are hungry to bounce back after last week. I hope so.
