Leroy reveals why this player must be sold

|

LeroyClaret and Hugh’s top analyst Leroy Rosenior believes that West Ham should entertain offers for Andy Carroll as soon as possible both for the player’s good and  the future of the team.

He holds the striker “blameless” in the events surrounding him at Upton Park but says for his own sake he should be given the chance to move on.

Speaking after the devastating defeat at White Hart Lane he told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “I feel desperately sorry for the lad. He’s had as bad a time as it gets with injuries. Now he is back but playing in a system that will never suit him.

“It didn’t work yesterday and it hasn’t worked whenever he has started. I honestly think for the boy’s sake he should be allowed to move on – there will be loads of takers.  Let me stress he’s blameless – just not cut out for the system.

“Slaven Bilic got it all wrong yesterday and was obviously angry with the players in his post match press conference.

“But I hope today he is as angry with himself today because moving Sakho wide to accommodate Andy and trying to play the same system as when Payet with Carrollwas in the team just didn’t make sense to me.

I now wht he’s played Andy. He has to give him the opportunity just as Mauricio Pochettino had to with Roberto Soldado and Adebayor.

“You have to give players their chance as a new manager – you have to manage the dressing room – but both are now gone and I think the time has come to let clubs know Andy is available.”

We have to restore Sak to the central role and spend whatever we get on the most mobile forward around with the money we make. I’d also be tempted to entertain offers for Jelavic as well. ”

Leroy’s match verdict will be on line here a little later.

Agree with bubs. House cleaning hasn’t finished yet, and needs to be done. Lee could have been given a chance but did not receive it. So if he isn’t good enough, let him make his career elsewhere. I have commented on other players in a post higher so I won’t repeat everything here. But we need to know how to live without Payet. It was clear we were lost without our orchestra director, but other clubs have gone through that. It is a learning curve, and a chance for others to step up. Comparisons can be ugly, but what has happened at Barcelona while Messi was injured ? Both Suarez and Neymar upped their game. So has Sergi Roberto. They beat the great Real Madrid 0-4. And you know who is Madrid’s manager. That’s another bullet we dodged…

We are going to take a hit but hay ho we all knew that,
Jelavic has done no wrong and he is willing to wait,he is more mobile than Carroll and can make an impact,
Antonio needs to be blooded and if he is not good enough take the 6 mil of Derby
Sell Lee if he is not going to make the grade,
JOB and Ginge can go bring back Burke,
We need a good right back no buts,
If Moses is not going to put in the effort give young Viking a chance
But we need to find a different way of playing, yes we have lost Payet but we have great talent in Lanzini,Kouyate,Zarate,Song
We have Callum,Antonio,Obiang,Oxford and Samulsun to who have good skills
Last year we never had these treasures
    Let’s get going,

I agree wholeheartedly with Leroy that AC should be allowed to leave – I just don’t think there will be many takers especially if West Ham are looking to recoup the majority of the fee we paid for him!

It’s patently obvious that AC doesn’t fit into the ‘system’ that Bilic likes and in fact buggers up the system when he plays – I was amazed when I saw him in the starting team yesterday and feared for the worst. No one came out of the match with much credit – Lanzini and Kouyate were the pick of a pretty poor bunch
