Leroy: “Show no respect to Baggies you Irons”

LEROY (1)We hear a lot of platitudes ahead of games that “we should respect the opposition.”

Well let me say here and now that West Ham most certainly should NOT be going to the Hawthorns tonight showing anything other than self respect because we are favourites and a better team than West Brom.

I’ve seen a bit of the Baggies this season and with the exception of  Saido Berahino the Hammers have little to concern themselves about.

It may be a bit dangerous to talk like that but it’s how I feel about this West Ham team – they have a squad to die for and I reckon they can look after a single goal threat.

We have come off a tremendous result against Newcastle who were the country’s in-form team and although we had injuries and it wasn’t a great game, we battled out a fine result.

People claim that it was a lucky goal from Cresswell following Kouyate’s miscued shot but the fact is the guy had to be where he was to score as he did. The Hammers pushing forward like that does my heart good and we want more of the same tonight.

We’re told Enner Valencia is in the squad and that will do him and the rest of the squad the world of good. There’s also speculation that Diafra Sakho will be back on Saturday – fantastic.

It all means that we have a real chance of being all but safe by Christmas and if that’s the case it will be the first time I can remember such an event probably in my lifetime.

It’s a great time to be an Iron!

  1. Well said Leroy, if you can’t feel good about being a hammer now then you are never going to.

  2. If he plays Carroll up with Zarate we’ve got half a chance, Carroll on his own and your asking for trouble!

  3. I think he will MM because WBA are a different proposition to Newcastle and Everton.
