Well I said seven points like most everybody else, Hugh said ten but after tomorrow’s match I think Slaven and the boys will have proved us both wrong.
When ClaretandHugh ran its poll on how many points we would pick up between Liverpool and Leicester the popular pick was seven and here we are on 10.
It would be great to believe we will reach 13 by the end of the 90 minutes tomorrow but I think it’s more likely we will get the draw and take our tally to 11.
That will be one heck of an achievement given the awful thrashing and humiliation by Arsenal although despite a 4-1 win against Swansea, the Hammers are nowhere near their best yet.
I can’t get carried away by the Swansea result because the ‘Welshman’ were poor – very poor indeed and I see no repeat of that sort of that sort of performance from the Foxes being on the cards.
However, the Hammers are seriously growing in confidence and could surprise again by stepping up further although I think a draw would be a great result.
Claudio Ranieri says he wants to see a reaction from Riyad Mahrez against West Ham, after dropping the winger on Boxing Day.
Last season’s PFA Player of the Year was dropped to the bench for the first time since October 2015 for the defeat to Everton, coming on for the final 26 minutes, but looks certain to return on Saturday.
But they will be without Jamie Vardy who is serving out a three match suspension and that can only help our cause considerably.
Andy Carroll is looking a force up front, with Winston Reid awesome at the back and Kouyate outstanding in the middle of the park.
But there’s a lot more to come and I believe we will need about 50 per cent more if we are to beat them up there tomorrow. I think a 2-2 could be the way to go
