The biggest complement I can pay this magnificent West Ham team is to say that neither Winston Reid or Victor Moses were missed yesterday.
Two of their finest performers missing and probably their greatest victory of the season – certainly at home where they have had all their troubles.
Reidy is the line leader at the back yet even without his inspirational qualities they looked solid, organised and well marshalled.
It truly was one hell of a performance and I can tell you this: We are watching one of the best West Ham teams in many, many years.
Mourinho made a fool of himself as Hugh reported this morning and if he wants the headlines for all the wrong reasons get on with it mate.
We’ve got the three points and we’ll settle for that. You just carry on with your moaning and groaning over nothing because if ever a player deserved to be sent off it was Matic. If Mourinho can’t see that he’s lost it.
But back to us. We all know we are watching a quite fantastic Hammers side and to have 20 points by the 25th of October is an enormous achievement
Slaven has been making brilliant decisions and to be here after 10 games is breathtaking but this should just be the start. I don’t know where we are going but it’s somewhere very exciting.
Somewhere along the way though there will be a dry period – there always is and it will be how he and the players react to that which will be the next test.
What I would love to see is the Hammers sitting with 40 points from 25 games because who on earth knows where we could go from there.
Everybody was magnificent yesterday with James Tomkins being truly excellent at the back. Noble and Kouyate were outstanding and while up front Lanzini and Payet were sensational, it was Sakho who put in the hard yards again.
It was his relentless running which tired the Chelsea defenders sufficiently for Andy Carroll to come on and make such an impact.
Slav has got everything spot on and with the sort of option we now have it can only get better and better.
COYI
Still don’t understand this cup run stuff unless you mean going for the double?
We can win this league we have quality in depth and do not need loads of new blood in January,
Song,Valencia and Antonio will be like new players coming in,
Carroll and Jelavic are fresh to the side as well
We still have young blood to play as well Oxford,Samulsun,Page,Henry,Callum,to name a few who will make the grade,
This is the year to dream big not just a cup run
WHU for champions
ALL YOU GUYS ?????
WTF you talking about mate , there were a few right across the board who were upset about his fitness problems and venting their opinions of sustainability with a few exceptions that were brain dead, you will find most west ham supporters were wishing him well and to be injury free when he returned !!! Its early days yet but Bilic seems to be on top of it and using him intelligently, but what we have learned is that the tacticly astute hippo was his main problem and contributed to his injury ,
Thank Christ the clown has departed and we all look forward to carols re emergence under Bilic with fingers crossed for the boy !!!!!
On a different subject I hope Bilic can help sakho get some goals to co inside with his outstanding work rate , this guy is doing a fantastic job without any complaints for his team,
Great professional performances and I can’t praise him enough !!!!!
Ive been waiting for this day for Andy Carroll to prove all you guys wrong. There where so many people taking the MICKEY out of Carroll when he picked up that small injury a few months ago. Hope you guys that was pulling him down feel SO embarrassed now. Carroll just pied the lot of you , COME ON YOU IRONS.
Not only has Slav introduced new players and is getting the best from existing ones, he has quickly identified and weeded out those below the required standard. With due respect, the names of Nolan, Jarvis, Cole and Maiga amongst others spring to mind.
I know the Allardyce thing has been done to death but when would he ever have played Payet, Lanzini and Zarate in the same team. I said at half time yesterday, ‘even if we end up losing this, at least we’ve been entertained’. It was always so obvious to so many of us what the problem was, now thank f*ck, he’s gone!!!
Zarate is a great story as it stands.Slaven seems to get the best out of him.He has done well for a guy not good enough for us last season according to some, lol 😉
We must also remember the there were only 2 players in the starting line up that wasn’t in last years team – Payet & Lanzini. Although they are now so importantant to this year’s team the biggist star and difference is Bilic. In 10 league games he has not only introduced a new style he has given every player the confidence to play as a team, fighting for each other. Yes our previous manager did do what he was asked to do but he didn’t have the skills to man manage. If there was ever an example of this it must be Zarate. Sent out on loan – disregarded, now look at him.
Bilic has put the smile on every ‘West Ham fan, it’s been missing for far too long.
COYI!!!
Just love this tweet from Rio………….
For Chelsea fans wondering who the new Leicester manager is, he is the guy who used to manage your club before you started supporting it.
Hahahaha,that is quality,haha.Got to love Rio,top man 😉
i still want Read in team for me he is our best c/h might even be the best in the prem so the quicker he comes back the better but well done collins
I share your optimism Leroy, and your concern about a dry period, which I think could be triggered by fatigue to the likes of Sakho, Lanzini and Noble. Hopefully our squad strength would soon put that right.
I couldn’t be less interested in Moronho’s self-serving histrionics.
We have had a magnificent start to this season. Long may it continue.
Reid song Valencia Antonio carol ogbonna obiang moses ,
This should be a lot of fun this year , I feel a cup run coming on !!
