LEROY: We were pathetic and shameful

leroylogoWell, that was pathetic – no other word will do…West Ham were hopeless at Villa.

Worse than that, they looked like a team who didn’t want to be there and are simply looking after themselves to make sure they don’t get injuries before the summer break – awful!

They shamed themselves and my only thoughts were with the fantastic fans who followed them up there. They should receive a refund after that.

This is my club and hurts like hell to have to talk like this but we have to be honest. If we aren’t all is lost. No excuses – no explanations from anywhere please. We were awful.

God, there were times when they couldn’t even pass the ball accurately over ten yards. Villa were hardly great so where does that put us? …as low as it gets.

The players must  hold their hands up. There’s not  much a manager can do in those circumstances but I’m afraid there is also a collective responsibility and Sam has to take his share of it because that’s the nature of the job – you have to get things sorted. And THAT hasn’t been happening.

Nor is it on to keep talking about injuries as an excuse. There’s a squad of 25 professionals – they are called that for a reason. Whatever the circumstances there has to be btter than what we’ve seen for the last few weeks – especially yesterday.

Where they go from here I haven’t a clue but yesterday they shamed those brilliant fans.

Not on – simply not on!

  1. Pretty well sums it up.Dont expect Sam to take any responsibilty for it though, its never his fault.Always the players or officials. He has never got the team selection or tactics wrong all season. In his ‘Samsworld’ anyway. Two more games to go for The Dead Man Walking!!

    • It is so refreshing to see a player tell the truth about a club, player and managers. Unfortunately, there is a lack of honesty with a lot of pundits and they simply say what the club wants them to say. Well done, Leroy, for siding with the fans.

  2. What do you expect from the players when they are playing for a manager who doesnt give a **** anymore,Jeff Stelling made me laugh yesterday on Soccer Saturday. He said he had just seen a shot of Hippohead almost horizontal in his seat.Im surprised he wasnt actually having a nap with his feet in a bowl of water & a knotted handkerchief on his bonce.

  3. Hippohead doesnt care does he,some poor mugs will give him a contract somewhere for millions if he leaves.God bless his new teams poor fans. They will be like lemmings over the cliff after a year or two of watching football the Sam way.My brother-in-law is a Mackem & even after the season they have had he is petrified the hippo could be on his way to them.Rains alot there though so i guess there will be plenty of mudholes for the hippo to wallow in 😉

  4. The owners should be ashamed. To have stuck with this man who is 100% taking the mick out of the fans is a disgrace. I actually might feel sorry for Nolan. For BFS to keep putting him out there when he’s not up to the job is plain wrong. The other players know their captain isn’t up to the job as well as us. And when do you ever hear BFS thank the fans or apologize for a performance?

The owners deserve every bit of criticism they are getting. Fans who invest time and money have been ripped off this year. We’ve been treated like mugs. They’ll destroy the club if they don’t get rid of this man unceremoniously as soon as the final whistle is blown at Newcastle.

    • Couldn’t have said it better Pennsylvania. How in hell do the owners expect to attract top players to the club while Hippo head plays his fiddle as the club image burns. This manager has cost the club more than money. The players are not exempt from criticism either.FATSO OUT!

  5. 14 days and 3 hours or 20,340 minutes, not that I’m counting, until I hope and pray the final whistle (long overdue) blows on BFS/NCS West Ham career.
    Keep the faith!

  6. Spot on Leroy. Pathetic and embarrassing, two adjectives to summarise our manager. 2 weeks and then we’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel.

  7. Allardyce is mugging everyone off each time he picks Nolan. It is a frigging joke he still plays him.I dont blame Nolan,if he gets picked he plays. But Hippohead is seriously taking the pi*ss playing him.He must know he cant cut it anymore but i expect he will still be in the team saturday. Most people have an inspirational, dynamic captain. We have a guy who looks totally shagged after 20 mins.

  8. We have to blame ownership. If the management situation had been made clear we would not be in this situation. Nobody has a clue what’s going on and in the meantime we are becoming a laughing stock.

  9. They should have got rid of him last summer after the rubbish that season. But they didnt learn their lesson & now have the same problem a year on.Allardyce was never going to change his ways.He is a one trick pony, absolutely clueless if things dont work out to his Plan A.He has been exactly the same from the Championship year to now.Overpaid, overrated dinosaur who other managers make look exactly what he is,a manager from a different era, when the Jurassic Premier League was about.Just get rid Davids,do us all a favour!!

  10. What do they do in training ?the worse display of passing I have seen NCS missed a trick he should have said there kit colours are so like ours the players were confused,
NCS OUT NOW WE CANT WAIT 2 more games or it could cost us for our European place

  11. Spot on – it’s been a dire second half of the Season – excuses, excuses, excuses – don’t they just drive you round the bend!

Roll on Everton – only a couple more hours of misery left!

  12. Stay positive lads.Look at it this way,we have had roughly 16,000mins of Hippohead football in four seasons. Now hopefully only another 180ish mins to go.The hell could soon be over 😉
