Leroy: Why the fans are so important for this game

|

LEROY (1)The brilliant Irons fans have a huge part of play at the Boleyn tomorrow night.

I don’t care how professional you are, when you have had three massive games such as the Hammers have just gone through there’s bound to be a little drop in the atmosphere when it’sΒ Watford at home on an April Wednesday evening.

That’s no disrespect to the Hornets at all it’s just the way it is but in fact this could be on of the biggest matches of the season as we bid to keep our European hopes on the boil and that’s where the fans come in – they really have to give it some and keep up the temperature.

I don’t think it will be a particularly attractive game. Watford have reached the 40 point level and with a Wembley semi around the corner they could make changes. We will need to really take a pop at it – we need a win so I really hope the fans give it some real welly.

Everybody knows I’m a huge Sakho fan and I hope he’s back from the start. We need Byram in at right back and Antionio pushed forward. I also believe with Sak in the team we can play both Lanzini and Payet and see them to their best effect.

I’m taking the Irons to win it 1-0.

Carroll,Payet,Lanzini just doesn’t work in the same team in my very humblest opinion.Definitely get Ant back up field & Byram rb.Now is the time to go for it,nothing ventured nothing gained this time of the season. No point playing with a less offensive rb like Tomkins.Go for it tomorrow night I say.Perhaps Collins for Reid.I’m sure Slaven has it all under control & doesn’t need my useless advice lol

  • RickHammer says:

The Hammers could go nine top-flight matches without defeat for the first time since an 18-match run in 1985.

They will set a top-flight club record of 15 unbeaten home matches in a row if they avoid defeat against Watford. Their last league defeat at Upton Park came on 22 August against Bournemouth.

Just read this on the BBC Sport website about us.Yet still we have moaning fans bleating about our season, our players & even Bilic sometimes.Get back into the real world guys & stop the frigging moaning.

If we don’t get 3?points this game and Liverpoor do we are in for a hard time to pick up the points to be in Europe, and after the season we have had it would be unjust,
The season of the wrong decisions would follow us into the new ground,
Pick up the points from now on and go into the new ground would cap a great season,
This summer now looks a busy time with the loan players returning and some big decisions on who stays
Valencia,Poyet, one of our 3 central player Ginge ,Tomkins or Reid or 2 ( are they good enough ) which of Henry ,Burke,Oxford,Samulsun,Cullen, can move up,
Lee,and others might need moving on also,
Will Sakho stay, will Payet and Obiang want to
All big questions and Europe might make the DIffrence

Like you Leroy, lets concentrate on each game, one at a time.
i believe, that when fit, Sakho is our best striker, and if possible, should start the game!
A fast moving, short passing approach with a 4-3-3 formation may be our best option

  • mattefumi27 says:

Like you Leroy, I believe Sak is our best striker and he permits Payet and Lanzini to express themselves fully. If you look back, our best games (IMO) were against Liverpool (away and home), City (away), Arsenal (away), Newcastle (home), Palace (away): Sak, Lanzini and Payet played together (and they played really well) and I do not think this was by accident. But that’s just my personal view and I’m sure, as Gobby says, Slav doesn’t need my useless advice… πŸ˜€

    • mattefumi27 says:

Sorry, against Liverpool (home) Payet, Lanzini and Sakho didin’t play together, but their spirits were on the pitch… lol πŸ˜€

  • GW says:

Well said Leroy now all we need are some of our fans to crawl out of their own asses and actually support the team and not be keyboard ninjas or virtual managers when a result doesn’t go our way!!

  • mattefumi27 says:

    Ahah… I love “Keyboard Ninjas” GW… lol πŸ˜‰

    • GW says:

All dressed up in their hooded Sam onesies with their star shaped mouses at the ready waiting patiently for a misplaced pass so to unleash their ninja skills and words onto the Web’s forum of choice that Sir Trevor and Bobby would read daily lol..

      • TysonM says:

Think you also forgot that it would have been John Lyall & Ron Greenwoods forum of choice as well according to their Queen because of the intellectual debates & intelligent people that use it.SMH πŸ™‚

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Lol some guy on there has the name Chickenrunner. It reminded me of the original Chickenrunner we had here, one of the original Rabid dogs.Don’t know whatever happened to him.I suppose he is still alive, lol. He was a good man on here.Took no sh#t,lol

  • mattefumi27 says:

lol … yes Billy, I remember Chicken, Stew, Quick… they were fighting rabid dogs and top men on here… I hope they’re well. And as for their Queen, as Ty says, I assume she has a Master’s in psychology and sociology… she knows very well human nature. lol πŸ˜€

  • Billy the Hammer says:

    Yeah,StingRay Stewart,QuickDraw.Good guys,remember them too.Vanished off the face of the earth,lol

  • WHU647580 says:

    But did they? πŸ˜‰

lol….you crack me up. Read the first 6 comments and thought I’d logged on to the wrong site! Formations, tactics even stats and the odd correction lol

Luckily enough GW saw what was happening here and managed to get it back on track. πŸ˜‰

For what it’s worth i think we’ll do them, fairly comfortably 3-0 or 3-1

    Be lucky.

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Haha, yeah but at least it’s only on the day of the match Percy. It ain’t a constant flow of stats, formations & should Payet be sold or put on the bench.Oh & let’s support the Spuds to win the title, lol.Fly back with that tied to your leg.Oh & don’t forget to curtsy to your queen when you get back.Hope you don’t hit a truck windscreen πŸ˜€

  • TysonM says:

Just ignore the **** Billy.Him & his experts on Wetpants will never get to grips with why we don’t like that site. That place never got mentioned on here until someone pointed out they were running us down.So sure enough we go take a look & there is WHU647580 & others calling us ignorant pigs & Rabid dogs.Throw in morons & illiterate & you have a pretty good mix for why we don’t like their expert advice to Bilic & their belief that they are better than top class footballers.

    • WHU647580 says:

LOL @BillyTheHammer……will do guv….don’t forget that offer of food/coup if I ever get evicted.

Tyson what the **** is your problem?

For the record pal…I’ve never called anyone on here ignorant pigs, rabid dogs (that was probably Banjo having a laff) or norons/illiterate. Fact is pal….I don’t normally call out individuals unless someone appears to have named me personally for no particular reason.

The only thing I’ve found strange is the amount of times that site comes up over here, because this place is barely mentioned over there…..unless it’s a breaking news story or decent article.

Every forum users have opinions on line ups….players good or bad….its normal, we all have our favorites etc……Bubs likes to post what he’d like to see happen a lot and have engaged with him over there. That site got named here a long time ago…..it’s carried on daily…some of it just a laugh, harmless.

But you carry on calling people names bud, be lucky.

  • mattefumi27 says:

ahaha… now I remember him… that funny phone number… one of the foremost experts on Samaism magically converted to Slaveism… that site can work miracles… πŸ˜‰

    • WHU647580 says:

Yep some key numbers……not an expert matte, just a supporter…..who also went from Lyallism, Bondism, Harryism and a few others.

  • StanThe Man says:

Don’t panic fellas,at 7-45 those of you not at the match can get a lesson in management on there while the game is on.What Bilic is doing wrong tactically, what players should be doing & after you can read about which substitutions he got wrong. Its a management lesson that puts Ferguson,Mourinho & Wenger in the shade.

  • bubs says:

Just like to talk about football if I want to get a recipe I have a lovely lady that does that,
But then on your site the lovely lady gets to run the site with some running around with there
    Bits hanging out,
Maybe Matte should go over and sort out her Figa ?
    Back to football,
Don’t think it’s all about the forwards today,we need to stop giving away cheap goals,

  • mattefumi27 says:

ahahha… That’s right, leave it to me bubs… lol πŸ˜€

  • RickHammer says:

Just a few minutes to go & the match day managers can start to tell Slaven how to do it.
