Leroy’s view: “There’s been some rubbish talked”

|

LEROY (1)There has to be a reaction from the Irons this afternoon and I think there will be.

I do not believe for a single second players are throwing in the towel as has been suggested by some this week after the Old Trafford defeat on Wednesday. There’s been some rubbish talked

They weren’t saying that last Saturday after as gutsy a performance as you will ever see from the lads -so suggestions the manager is losing players and that some – notably Dimi Payet – aren’t and don’t want to put it in are crazy.

Payet was not bought to scuffle around chasing players down and all that stuff. He was bought to produce fantastic skills and had he not been around last season you wonder just how many goals we would have scored.

We are without two key players today and I’ll be interested in a few minutes to see how Slav compensates for the loss of Antonio in particular. That will be fascinating.

Masuaku is decent and maybe it will be Ayew down that right side. I’m not going to try and second guess the team – let’s wait and see.

Carroll is apparently back but remember it’s his first game in months so let’s not look for miracles.

But if we can keep a similar shape at the back we can get something from this game against Arsenal and I’m going for a draw. Arsenal have been nicking results of late and have not been at their best.

Our lads won’t need any winding up – they know they owe the fans a big London Stadium performance and I’ll back Slav to take the pressure off himself and the team this afternoon with a 1-1.

My feeling is that most of the players signed in the summer are being talked about being dumped, sent back to their respective clubs etc,and quite rightly so, so its no surprise that their attitude is one of disinterest but the fact remains that these “players” are not good enough for the first team and this creates a situation where there is no competition for places, which every club needs.

To be honest I used to post on claret and blues and it used to be varied but constuctive posting on there. Now I’m afraid I left due to after a great season last term we now have kids who no nothing about our history posting get rid of slav his useless players not trying all because we’re having a poor season this time. Even older posters have started moaning about stadium crap not upton park now nobody cares it’s probably the most depressing blog around now so I’m glad I’m seeing much more enthusiasm here on claret and hugh as for this post by Leroy I think his spot on and we all should remember leicester are now down the bottom from winning the league man United spent fortune and are where? So do we here how bad theanagers are at those clubs and the players are not playing for thier coach? Nah thought not so let’s stop moaning for Christ sake and get us back on track COYI.
