Likely Hammers team for Newcastle clash

|

West Ham seem unlikely to make more than two or three changes for the game against Newcastle at the London Stadium tomorrow afternoon (Sun).

Antonio likely to miss out

And it would be a surprise were Mike Antonio to make the game given the muscle adductor issue which kept him out of Thursday’s match against Freiburg in Germany.

At 33 it takes longer to recovery from these issues so we can probably expect to see Jarrod Bowen continuing in the central striker role.

Thilo Kehrer – who played on the left side of the defence will almost certainly make way for Emerson whilst Pablo Fornals looks certain to be replaced by Tomas Soucek having been off the pace in German – probably on account of so few games.

At central defence the number one pair Kurt Zouma will be back to skipper the side with goalscorer from Germany playing alongside him whilst Areola will return for Fabianski.

So here’s the team I hope to see: Areola, Coufal, Aguerd, Zouma, Emerson, Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Paqueta, Soucek, Kudus, Bowen
