Lille player linked as loan option

Lille winger Jonathan Bamba is the latest name to the touted as a possible loan with an option to buy on the craziness that is transfer deadline day.

The Lille ace is on the market for around £25 million this summer according to a previous report from The Express.

It would be strange addition after signing after the confirmation of the signing of Nikola Vlašić this monring.

Three clubs in particular are said to be monitoring the 25-year-old’s  availability with Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, and West Ham named in reports.

L’Équipe had reported earlier this month that Bamba was among the Lille players on the market, as the club looks to recover from financial difficulties.

West Ham need to add more options for goals  and without a backup striker Bamba could prove to be another option in reality with the chance of re-signing Lingard dead in the water.

The former France youth international has been with Lille since 2018, and notably contributed to the club’s Ligue 1 title win last season under Christophe Galtier, beating PSG to the trophy by a single point.
