Of course, without wishing ill on any opponent, news that one of Manchester United’s key players is likely to be rotated out of the side having been spotted ‘limping out of the stadium’ after the Red Devil’s victory over Spurs will be seized on as a fragment of good news in an encounter which West Ham need to win.

When it becomes apparent that the injured player is Bryan Mbueno then clearly it gives Michael Carrick something of a challenge for the trip south. Red Devils top fan site unitedinfocus.com provides the detail:

“Bryan Mbeumo scare means Michael Carrick will face a new test as Man Utd manager vs West Ham…

Bryan Mbeumo already provided Carrick an injury scare as he was spotted limping out of the stadium after the Spurs game, and the manager will now be tested on his rotation acumen…”

With M’Bueno pivotal to Manchester United’s rebound in recent weeks it will see a key change forced on Carrick’s side. The Cameroon international has so far scored more Premier League goals than any at West Ham – nine so far – and is therefore likely to be a big miss.

Good oh.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Man U will be having a mid season break after this fixture.
They’ve effectively got two weeks off before they play again.
Chances are, they will field a srtong starting eleven.
Still, I fancy us to nick it, by the odd goal.
We’ll ride oir luck and it!ll be alright on the night!
