Jesse Lingard insists that he remains unworried about his lack of playing time at Manchester United thus throwing doubts over suggestions he could be on his way back to the Hammers in January.
David Moyes revealed recently that he knew almost from Day One that the player would be staying at Old Trafford once he had finished his loan spell at the London Stadium..
But there is little doubt that were he be able to sign the 28 year old on a permanent basis he would do so and there have been recent suggestions that the player is ready to call it quits at United.
However, he appeared in the England team that beat Andorra last night and that may well encourage him further to sign a new united deal should it be offered at Old Trafford.
Whether he does spo or not is still questionable but no doubr Moyes will be watching the position carefully.
Commenting ahead of last night’s game Lingard declared: “‘Of course, I want to be playing and helping the team but I’ve not done any harm (to my England chances. With whatever minutes I get, I do my best. That’s the only thing I’m concentrating on.’
Are we stuck in a time warp with Lingard ? With his attitude wouldnt want him anywhere near West ham. Why do you go on and on about someone who got lucky at West ham and may need more than that in the future. And southgate plays him and sancho for england neither manure regulars. Says a lot to others in the squad. But we beat the mighty Andorra. World cup – rightio.
We need to forget about Lingard and focus on players who want to come to the Club.
Agreed 110 per cent.
