Jesse Lingard is keen to join the Hammers on a permanent basis .

And once David Moyes signs his new three year deal wants his agents to get into talks with the club.

Lingard is not ready to sign any new deal at Old Trafford having become very much a part of things at the London Stadium where his career was kick started big style.

He even turned up at the England training camp carrying a Hammers shop bag!

However, he is keeping a careful eye on the Moyes situation with the Scot being linked to an Everton return but is believed ready to a move south once the boss signs his newly arranged three year deal.

ClaretandHugh has learned the Hammers are entirely confident Moyes will honour the new three year deal which has been agreed and for which the paperwork is now being prepared.

Lingard and Moyes have a special relationship and that has always been key to him wanting to agree a permanent switch to the Londonn Stadium.

And OT sources made it clear that the 58 year old’s continued position as manager is very important to the 28 year old attacking midfielder.

He is also keen for his agents to discover the Irons spending plans this summer which are known to include planned moves for himself, a central striker and defender.

Moyes is definitely thinking about going back to Everton..he hasn’t denied it at all, and the contract would of been signed already if he wasn’t thinking….such a shame after hearing he would never leave at for the min …..personally I think its 50/50 …taking his time signing a new contract won’t help his relationship with the fans after superb seasons …he needs to get on board before it starts to get people talking

Says who, where do you get this nugget from as seems no one else knows this. There is no lure for Moyes to go back to Everton, they are not in Europe and in worse debt than us, so think you are well off the mark.

It’s just my opinion Julian like you have yours …would be pretty boring else …May not agree with you but your entitled to your opinion…..simple

Really ? – I would imagine (& hope) he will be using it as a bargaining chip for guarantees he’ll be backed properly in the transfer market 😉

If hes on holiday hes on holiday. Though agree would expect announcement next week. On loser going back to Everton i would think Cant see point. Done well here guarantees nothing elsewhere.

  • Dave says:

Believe Moyes is on holiday so probably sign when he gets back.
I think you mentioned they were working on paperwork a week or two ago, it takes a decent legal company to do a complicated contract in about a day, presuming it’s pretty standard it probably takes a couple of hours…
He seems a man of his word so probably more to do with being on hols.

Yeah you could well be right dave , let’s hope he signs soon as he gets back… ,to put it all to bed ..👍
