Lingard may make a Turkey trot

|

Jesse Lingard’s agent Paul Mitchell is reported as being involved in trying to move the free agent to any of  Turkish giants Fenerbahce, Galatasaray or Besiktas.

That’s per Ajansspor and although Fenerbahce rejected the opportunity, Galatasaray are in talks and Besiktas may make a move despite having conducted most their transfer business already.

Turkish clubs have until next Thursday –  September 15 – to make moves when their transfer window closes.

All three clubs have notified Uefa of their European competition football so Lingard would only be able to play domestic football until at least January if he were to make the move.

Lingard left Nottingham Forest at the end of his contract last season and has been training with us since then with the Hammers unable still musing a move for the player.
