Lingard to join Hammers says family member

Jesse Lingard’s move to West Ham is becoming a family affair by the looks of things

ClaretandHugh’s northern man Terry Robbins has been reporting over the last week that Manchester United believe the 28 year old will likely become a Hammer in the summer.

Now a member of the Lingard family has joined in and more than suggesting that the attacking midfielder is ready to make the London Stadium his new home.

The 28-year-old’s brother, Louie Scott, hinted on Instagram that Lingard’s future could well be in the capital.

Posting a picture of himself in the Hammers gym in Irons training gear Louie posted  and captioned: “New home? COYI”.

There now seems little doubt from both sides of the fence that Manchester United’s former England international and the Irons are ready to do all they can to make this happen.

The club have agents working on things and with Lingard and his family making their wishes clear this looks a good scenario right now.

  1. If we spend 25m on Lingard we will be the laughing stock of every other club in the PL. I am not so sure people realise we are in a football recession and there is great value out there so to be spend 25m on a player who will be 29 and has little or no resale value goes against everything Moyes had promised in terms of young hungry players.

  2. I don’t think West Ham will roll over and pay silly money for Jesse.
They’re well aware there is little or no sell on value.

  3. 29 is hardly ancient is it? No reason why we shouldn’t get 4 + years service from a player who clearly looks after himself, 25 million would be a decent price but anything less would be a bonus..
