Report: Lingard wanted Saudi Arabia all summer

|

According to a new report this evening Jesse Lingard has been pushing for a move to Saudi Arabia all summer and apparently had no interest in joining West Ham.

CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, taking to his Twitter account (23 September), claiming the former Manchester United midfielder asked for four weeks training with Stephen Gerrard managed Al-Ettifaq.

Now the club has taken to Twitter account to announce that Lingard will be joining the club on a training contract which will be valid for a month.

Jacobs had  tweeted: “More on Jesse Lingard’s possible move to Al-Ettifaq. Lingard’s been pushing all summer for a Saudi opportunity. He asked for four weeks training.

“Al-Ettifaq plan to assess him and very open to signing him if next month goes well. Al-Shabab have also considered Lingard.”

Fabrizio Romano also took to his personal Twitter too reporting that it will be up to both parties if they will look to go ahead with a permanent transfer after Lingard had been training with West Ham all summer.

All this after David Moyes offered him the chance to show his worth to him and West Ham. Dare I use the word shameful as far as Lingard is concerned.

Well if he wanted Saudi all along he’s made a fool of Moyes again. Mr Moyes, let us gratefully get the message and focus on our own players please!!!!

Now we see the true colours of Jesse Lingard! I just hope that Stephen Gerrard and Al-Ettifaq can see them too. Buyer beware!
