Lingard’s head scratching social media post

Jesse Lingard is posting regularly on social media but his latest offering following the  game against Ipswich last night will cause a few heads to be scratched among Hammers fans.

Nothing every seems straightforward in the midfielder’s world as his latest post appears to prove, with the player appearing to lodge some sort of odd complaint.

Talking to Snapchat, Lingard posted : “When they can’t touch the person you’ve become, they’ll try to dig up who you used to be.”

Already the quote per Hammers News is doing the rounds on Twitter with Hammers fans coming to the conclusion it may well be a comment on last night’s performance in the behind closed doors clash with Ipswich Town.

From all accounts he wasn’t at his best despite some good moments and was subbed three quarters of the way through the 90 minutes.

Maybe given the circumstances he finds himself in he might keep his phone in his back pocket!
