Liverpool vs West Ham Preview
West Ham face Liverpool at Anfield this weekend, with the Reds looking to wrap up the Premier League title as soon as possible.
Arne Slot’s title chasers appear to be running out of steam, while Arsenal are buoyed by their Declan Rice-inspired win over Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
With the pressure mounting, Liverpool are expected to recall Alisson to the starting XI for the visit of West Ham. The Reds’ defence looked shaky after conceding three goals away to Fulham in their last outing, so the return of their first-choice goalkeeper will be a welcome boost.
However, there’ll be no quick return for Trent Alexander-Arnold. The contract rebel is expected to make an appearance before the end of the season, but won’t be available for this match. Curtis Jones could continue at right-back, with Conor Bradley not fully fit and Joe Gomez still about a month away from a return.
Things are looking a little brighter for West Ham, with Graham Potter close to having an almost full squad available. However, long-term absentees Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio remain sidelined and are still some way off from making a return.
