Liverpool “scout” Irons midfield ace

obiang1LIVERPOOL are tonight being reported as tracking Pedro Obiang with Kop boss Jurgen Klopp planning another revamp of his squad this summer.

Klopp wants at least four new players knowing he is still failing to maintain a major challenge for the Premier League title and Obiang is being seen as a possible target.

The Sun claims the German boss has been very aware of the former Sampdoria man’s top performances this season even when the Irons were badly out of form

His scouts have identified his value as a deep lying midfielder – an area Liverpool are looking to strengthen over the summer.

However, Obiang – having established himself as possibly the Irons’ No 1 midfielder would be reluctant to swap that for life within a Liverpool squad.

And were the interest to become concrete West Ham would be looking for a minimum of £18 million for a player who has improved by leaps and bounds after being given his chance by Slaven Bilic

  1. Surely we are building a team and NOT dismantling one?
And any how £18M for such a young talented player, would be a give away.
Another Mascherano. We sell a playerr for peanuts, and then that club sell him on for 3 times the price.
We need to keep our best young players and build a team around them.
    COYI.

  2. lm pretty sure they are scouting our all-action captain who has outstanding passing stats, not Obiang

  3. Lmao Muckracker…yeah i can see how they would want Capt Fantastic.A 60 million bid is being readied as we read this.

  4. We wait 2 seasons for the lad to get a chance to play and shock horror we find out he is better then Song and we can build a team of the future around him and Kouyate and why Why Why would he want to go and play and live in Liverpool
Liverpool have proved in the last 7 years to be the grave yard for talent,
Pedro showed last year when played we were a better side and if our brilliant captain was taken out of his way we might see how good he is
Surely Hippo will want captain fantastic next year in the championship?

  5. Obiang is a top player we must try and keep him.

What’s the brilliant Mark Noble got to do with this post? Listen to the Noble with Hunter podcast which was posted on KUMB today. He’s a truly top bloke and in my opinion always gives his very best, energisers others and would always make my West Ham starting 11….

  6. Next year we could have Fernandes, Kouyote, Cullen and Obiang fighting over 1 position as Captain Slow has obviously morphed into Nolan and is undroppable to some 😀
