Loan interest in defender fizzling out

Reece Oxford looks set to remain at the club this season given the current lack of interest from clubs in taking the central defender on loan.

There’s still time but despite much reported speculation that Borussia Monchengladbach or Hannover may be interested the only serious enquiry has come from Bolton.

They have made an initial expression of interest but are yet to follow up and we understand the Championship outfit are only interested in paying 70 per cent of the player’s £20k a week wages.

Unless they come back ahead of the loan interest deadline the central defender is destined to remain at the Hammers with interest from German apparently having fizzled out.

The Hammers are also waiting on offer for Josh Cullen who was involved in the first team squad during pre-season but has failed feature in Manuel Pellegrini’s  first team plans over the first two premier League games of the season.

  1. With the right application from him and the right coaching from the hammers coaching team’
Could become a good holding central midfielder??? Just watched the first half of the Liverpool Crystal palace game, Palace have got quite a decent centre back called Tomkins???? Why did we sell him and get a donut like Ogbona???
