London Mayor tells West Ham to get a grip

|

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has told West Ham owners to get a grip to ensure proper behaviour from their fans. The London Mayor and Karren Brady are due to meet face to face for the first time on Monday after a recent war of words in the media.

Khan speaking Talksport told radio listeners: “I understand the concerns of many West Ham fans. They are very unhappy about events in the recent past. What you can’t condone is behaviour we saw during the Burnley game.

“Those who run West Ham have got to get a grip and, working with the stadium operators, make sure this sort of behaviour doesn’t continue. It is West Ham’s responsibility to make sure there is proper behaviour from their fans.”

“I have been to many events at the stadium where not only has the sport been phenomenal, it has been safe and secure. That begs the question: what are West Ham doing differently?”

This soppy little man just loves the sound of his own voice. Does he not know that the club has no control over stewarding? Since he took personal control of the stadium he has consistently blanked all approaches from the club for a meeting. Finally they pinned him down to later this month. He seems totally out of touch with the whole situation.
