London Stadium caterers donate snacks to NHS

London Stadium caterers Delaware North have donated £50,000 worth of snacks to hero NHS workers last Friday.

Crisps and soft drinks were taken in lorries to NHS hospitals to be distributed amongst medics.

The stock came from Delaware North who manage catering contracts at Wembley Stadium, The Emirates Stadium and The London Stadium.

Deliveries went to field hospital NHS Nightingale in East London and the Whittington Hospital in North London.

A source told The Sun Newspaper: “There delivered around £50,000 worth of crisps and soft drinks to the Nightingale and the Whittington hospitals.

“Palletts of stock were just sitting there in the stadiums and bosses wanted to put it to good use – and give the hard working NHS staff some snacks.

“Staff loaded up lorries on Friday and were sure to maintain two metres between each other.”

Delaware North recently came under fire from casual match day staff on zero-hours contracts at the Emirates and the London Stadium with the US firm allegedly deciding not to furlough them.
