London Stadium catering company losses mount

US catering company Delaware North accounts have published their financial accounts at companies house this week for 2019 which includes the London Stadium contract.

The subsidiary that runs the London Stadium catering contract on behalf of operator LS185 says that turnover increased from £40.6m in 2018 to £42.5m in 2019. The net loss for the financial year increased from a loss of £797,000 to £973,000.

The group turnover for the caterer in the U.K is down from £88.8m in 2018 to £85.3m in 2019 after the loss of the Spurs catering at Wembley stadium.  Group losses for the group increased from £1.9m to £2.9m.

The American-owned company delivers catering and hospitality services at Wembley Stadium and a number of stadia for UK football clubs, including Emirates (Arsenal), Pride Park (Derby County), the Valley (Charlton Athletic) and Craven Cottage (Fulham) London Stadium (West Ham) and the Ricoh Stadium (Coventry)

The US parent company Delaware North Inc has a global turnover of $3.2bn (£2.47bn)
These results were up to 31st December 2019 so exclude the impact of the global pandemic, next years results and losses will be very much larger.
