London stadium gets finishing touches for Sunday

The temporary lime green covering across the running track was ripped up on Thursday morning and the final touches of replacing it with astro turf which better matches the colour of the Desso grassmaster pitch is being completed in time for the Sunday afternoon kick-off at 4pm. Claret and Blue tarpaulins has also now been installed to cover up the gaps between the lower tier relocatable seating and the concourse in football mode at the London Stadium.

The final fabric panels are also being added to the external of the Stadium in the form of a wrap in time for Sunday although the giant HD screen will have to wait until October until it is installed. Large fabric pictures of West Ham players temporarily cover the place which the screen will be installed under the illuminated West Ham United sign.
