West Ham have engaged in discussions with Julen Lopetegui and may decide on manager David Moyes’ future before the season concludes.
Moyes has consistently dodged questions about his tenure, indicating that discussions about his role will only occur after our final match against Manchester City on May 19.
However, whilst Claret & Hugh have not received any confirmation from our sources within West Ham, it is believed that Moyes might be dismissed before the season’s end.
The talks with Lopetegui have been favourable, yet sources insist that no definitive decision has been made regarding Moyes. The final decision will be based on what is deemed best for the team.
Lopetegui has been unemployed since departing from Wolves just before the start of the current season, due to unmet promises regarding his playing budget.
The former Spain and Real Madrid coach has been considered for numerous positions since his departure and is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League. He had successfully steered Wolves to safety last season after taking over the team when they were at the bottom of the table.
Let’s get a proper fan protest under way, Milan took note of the fans so should Sullivan ,
Well Lopetgui is not what the fans wish for. I wish for someone like Amorim. Younger, progressive, positive attacking football. Moyes and Sullivan have both always been the problem. Good to get rid of Moyes but now the real problem needs to be dealt with. Surely we can protest or have banners if we don’t like the rumoured appointment before it’s too late. I don’t want a Spanish Moyes.
Gonzo,
I have enjoyed your videos on YouTube as part of Hammers Chat. I also used to read Claret & Hugh for informed opinion. However, it seems to me you are posting anything before you have done due diligence. If you are a serious journalist, as I believe you to be, please do your research and perhaps post less frequently. I would admire you more if I knew what I was reading was informed rather than just speculation based on the latest rumour.
Thanks for much of your work in the past, and I want to continue to read you for real news and information.
We’ve now gone from the manager being the problem to the chairman being the problem.;We cannot get rid of everybody but at the very least we should have a chairman that looks for a man that will improve the team. Remembering here that Sullivan promised us Champions League football. This guy,Lopitegui is he the right answer? Sullivan, listen to the fans, they are more football educated than most of the West Ham officials.Milan don’t want him so why should we? Cheap choice as per usual.
He ain’t listening and if he does it will be miracle
nope….not him
We’ve had one of our most successful periods under Moyse’s management.
I thank him for it.
However, it feels as though he has taken the team as far as he can. He’s had funds aplenty, but crazily opted to go with an aging, undersized squad. The affect on the players is obvious.
Surely the aim of getting rid of one manager is to push on to the next level, which for me should be minimum European places each season (based on current form, we’d be in a relegation fight each season!).
So why replace like for like with Managers?
The fans want better, we want to be entertained, we want to dare to dream.
Has Sullivan all of a sudden started to take advice from the Lineker’s, Carragher’s and Neville’s of the pundit world? Whose wet dream is the same top 6 teams season in, season out? And be damned if any other Premiership team should dare to dream big, yet alone act on it.
Be more Ryan Reynolds, David Sullivan, be brave.
Mate you really think Sullivan gives ****e what you think and somehow moyes really is the reason we have certain squad as club would give him players who were worse than what he has. He would have walked after winning Europa conference. Sully would let him go as he has to pay him off and said we will talk when your contract finished. That single act left him hung out to dry and Moyes keeps his council as he knows how football works. We will get an out of contract manager who will have to do what sulky says and be the fall guy if **** hits fan
Like for like, the fans don’t want another negative clown.
Sullivan is the problem at West Ham, get rid.
Right. And who exactly gets “rid” of the Chairman & majority shareholder pray?
It would be better to stick with Moyes than rather get Lopetegui who is a regression to my mind. However we are talking about Sullivan here and his obsession of not paying compensation which makes the Spaniard so appealing to him.
Clueless board with no ambitions.
Vote with your wallets and not renew.
ABSOLUTELY right 😡 where do I sign
The last thing we want as a mgr is him. We want Moyes out because of the football he plays. Results are ultimately irrelevant, replacing like for like is pouring petrol on the current discontent fire.Careful what you wish for ? The final nail that fractures forever the fan base is on the cards.
