West Ham’s woeful performance against Nottingham Forest was just the latest in a limp, disorganised effort from a team with over £120 million invested in the summer. Comments and editorial alike on Claret and Hugh suggests the situation calls for urgent, radical action.

Accordingly, Claret and Hugh’s associate editor Sean Whetstone has commissioned a poll on his twitter X account regarding the confidence we as fans have in Julen Lopetegui.

We’d urge you all to participate, whatever your view point it can only be a good litmus test of how West Ham fans are feeling right now about the apparent ‘stick with Lopetegui‘ message coming out of London Stadium.

Originally, many were in the ‘give the head coach until Christmas’ camp but scatter-gun selection and strategic blunders have left us all questioning and possibly changing our own opinions.

In view of news breaking on Claret and Hugh this morning (more of that shortly) – it is time to send a message loud and clear to the Board with Hammers’ fans opinions properly reflected.

What do you think?

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

We all know these sort of polls appeal to the disgruntled manager out types. They are not indicative of the general support I don’t think. However this time around you have those who dislike Lopetegui because they wanted to keep Moyes and those who just will dislike any manager because they don’t do things the way they want. So more outs than ins probably at this point.

JOKEpetegui implementing successful tactics is akin to monkeys typing the works of Shakespeare , but Westham can’t wait until the end of time , in truth he should go now , jump or pushed I’ll take either .

Even Stevie wonder can see lopetegui cannot get a tune out of these players. I’ve seen some crap in my 40 odd years supporting this club . Were literally clueless in every single area of the side . As much as Moyes going was the correct decision for both parties . It’s looking every bit as bad a decision as replacing redknapp with Glenn roeder .

Just need someone in charge who knows what they want and how to get it. Somebody who will make it happen. Looks like we have not got that at the moment – flying along on a wing and a prayer.

Sadly I don’t think it’s going to happen and that accordingly we should pursue Edin Terzic earlier rather than later.

I’m not on X and don’t plan to be on it anytime soon so why doesn’t C&H have their own poll?

You can just click on the Y/N button on that post of mine and it will get counted, without you needing to download twitter.

  • Peter Bendall says:

Get rid NOW . Moyes was awful but this guy is totally clueless .

  • Rob says:

Why is there not a ‘unsure’ option?
