Additionally, the captaincy role could boost his chances of returning to the England national team fold.
Bowen for me. He started to sound like a captain and is guaranteed to play every game when fit.
Someone’s having a laugh , mind you if he was captain he might get a free kick over a wall , my monies on Alvarez the mans got grit and speaks and thinks Spanish, he gets lots of yellow cards cause he does a lot of work just like dear old billy bonds did, that’s the kind of captain we need somone who leads from the front, he ain’t nicknamed el machin for nothing, Edson bites yer balls COYI, apart from that ive got his name on the back of my shirt
I agree that Alvarez should be the next captain. He leads by example now and perhaps the responsibility of leader, may just save him from a few yellow cards as well.
I have always thought it best to have a midfielder or central defender as skipper, as both keepers and forwards are too remote at times.
From his playing style this season you would have thought at times he already was captain.
Alvarez should be the next West Ham captain going to be a leader for the Hammers ⚒
No Thank you didn’t do Southampton any good not scored from a free kick has only made a couple of good forward passes usually sideways or backwards we need a driver not a sitter
