We should of scored more goals in both legs obviously.
Nerves in the first leg and a very dirty cynical opposition (but what were we to expect when the gulf in class was so extreme) and the sending off stunted our threat.
To be honest it was almost perfect, if we had won 6-0 and 5-0 in both the legs we would be going ape about what we were going to achieve this year.It will keep the youngsters especially grounded. They will still have to work hard to impress Slaven and that is what we want more than winning by a mile.
For the 1st leg at home Westley has said 1 or 2 more 1st team players will play.We also have a couple of friendlies around both legs.
I think we need a couple of strong players around the youngsters, who I think we should keep in the line up.Morgan and Jarvis can play in the friendlies at home. They are not strong enough to protect and stand up against lower teams who will come to kick and fall over to intimidate the ref.
Let’s put out a team that will settle the tie in the first leg in front of another sell out

    O’Brien
    Tomkins

Agreed there, it was an experimental team with youth players involved. So it was never going to be an onslaught, especially given that most of the first team are in Ireland and with the first team coaches and Bilic until the other evening.

Also, we did the job. No point in getting tired punching out in the early rounds. Will need more energy going forward for the later rounds and start of the season.

  • TysonM says:

Yeah would have been nice to create a few more chances but if people want the youth to play then we aint going to steamroller teams,if they want to see 5 or 6 goals in these matches then you need the first team.Cant have it both ways 😉

  • stuck on 99 forever says:

Job done is the best way of describing that, lol, people wanted youth in the team so they cant rattle on about it only being 1-0,though against a load of part-timers more than one shot on target wouldnt have been asking too much 😉

  • Lt. Quickdrawovic 1st Slavalry C&H Regt says:

I reckon it’s not heritage but they were kicked out of Portugal for cheating and that’s saying something considering who their champion diver is. Slav needs to say Xavi some of that you goat botherer lol

  • stuck on 99 forever says:

Lol Stingray, think you have logged into the wrong site.Time to get out of Andorra in one piece before the dirty sods cripple someone.Hope Slav shows their manager some respect, with a right hook to the chops 😉

  • Stingray Stewart says:

& then in injury time we score an own goal when Randolph throws it into his own net.Im stressed big time!!

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Hope we dont have another two players sent off & they score 4 goals in 10mins.Im really worried about this tie now. What if all our players get injured or we could be down to 8 men or they could get 4 penalties.Anything could go wrong!!

  • bubs says:

Following the best I can Cullen could prove a asset this season in midfield,
Sounds like the red card could be cancelled as well,
Looks like a nice summer trip to Malta, who did not want to be in Europe

  • Spoonie Spoonlic says:

****ing Sakho sent off, should never have been on the pitch in the first place.3-0 up against a load of pig farmers & ****ing goat milkers & we stick him in the team. All this **** about him needing game time from the dribble leg experts, well he got game time didnt he,13 ******* mins of game time!

  • Radai Lama says:

Lol,i aint been there,i can just guess 😀

  • Radai Lama says:

I have been keeping up a little Quick but really cant be arsed to sit looking at a bloody news feed waiting for something to happen.I will leave that to wetpants & their OCD issues, lol 😉

    • Lt. Quickdrawovic 1st Slavalry C&H Regt says:

Haha I’ve looked there too they’ve already figured out Diafra was sent off wrongly and discussed how long the ban is!

  • Lt. Quickdrawovic 1st Slavalry C&H Regt says:

This Spoonie-ing terrible, bring back teletext! Official sh!te is hopeless

  • Radai Lama says:

Haha,i didnt want Sakho playing because of injury not ****ing suspension 😉

  • COYI@HK says:

  • COYI@HK says:

  • JCxWHU says:
