LVG see Boleyn clash as a “negative”

|

Slaven-Bilic-Louis-van-Gaal (1)Louis van Gaal believes facing the Irons on their Boleyn farewell night is a negative” for the Reds as they bid Champions League qualification.

He said: “We have a lot of respect to West Ham United. We are not trying to spoil their party but we do need the three points, that is different.

“It will be a big night and an emotional night for them. It [playing the final game at Upton Park] is a negative for us. We have to play against an opponent who says goodbye to the stadium so they don’t want to lose.

“They have already lost to Manchester United in the last FA Cup match [at Upton Park] so that is not very good for us and West Ham United are a very good team.”

The point is, will we see it as a negative clash and just give up, like yesterday. It is still hard to believe that with so much to play for, so much glory for the players, team and manager still to come, we turned in such performance.
With the whole summer break two games away, could we hope they put it all on the line and finish up with a consolation prize
