Lyon have their own problems

|

Lyon have their  own problems ahead of the game against the Hammers in France tomorrow evening’s game against Lyon in France.

A match preview on the official Ligue 1 website per Hammers News  states that Lyon are  waiting on the fitness of  duo Tanguy Ndombele and Houssem Aouar while goalkeeper Anthony Lopes is out along with the  absence to Maxence Caqueret.

However,  the club appear to feel that Ndombele and Aouar are likely to be involved despite their issues.

“The midfielder (Ndombele) – back on loan at Lyon from the Hammers’ London rivals Tottenham Hotspur – was one of three players who went off injured as OL drew 1-1 at RC Strasbourg Alsace on Sunday, with Aouar and goalkeeper Anthony Lopes also withdrawn before time was up,” the Ligue 1 official website states.

Jan Pollersbek and  Tete are obvious replacements for Lopes and Aouar, but with Maxence Caqueret harbouring a long-term knee injury of his own, Ndombele will be given until just before the game to  prove his fitness and take up his role in central midfield

“Possible team Lyon: Pollersbeck, Dubois, Boateng, Lukeba, Emerson, Mendes, Ndombele; Faivre, Paqueta, Aouar, Dembele.”
