Macca: Silent waiting game

EWest Ham and Carlisle United were today turning away all enquries about the possibility of Neil MacDonald joining the League Two club as the new manager.

The 48 year is believed to be strongly wanted by the Brunton Park board who are believed to be seeking permission from the Irons to speak with him.

Indeed some reports are claiming that process has already been addressed and that an announcement is imminent.

Neither club would comment on that however, with West Ham merely saying they were “aware of the reports” but refused to go any further. Carlisle adopted the same position.

It has been widely reported that Sam Allardyce will not stand in his No 2’s way but to make the move Macca would take a drastic cut in wages..
