Maguire reported keen on Hammers move

|

Manchester United are now ready to push hard for a deal to be done that sees Harry Maguire join West Ham United and the defender is now believed to be keen on the idea.

That’s the word from the London Evening Standard who claim however that the Irons will not be covering his  £190,000-a-week wages although an agreement with United to help do so is on the cards

The ‘paper adds that Maguire “is ready for a fresh challenge and is excited by the prospect of a move to play under David Moyes at the London Stadium.”

The 30 year old has fallen way down the Old Trafford pecking order and was stripped of the United captaincy last month.

Moyes, who has been frustrated by the lack of new signings at West Ham this summer, is targeting British players and wants to strengthen his centre-back options.

Meanwhile the Hammers remain keen to sign Maguire’s United team-mate Scott McTominay.

If the rumours are true and Moyes has promised to make him captain – if fe accepts that offer I do ot want us to sign him or I do not want Moyes involved in the club anymore. The effect this will have on the squad will be devastating. Moyes has zero principles he is going to kill the spirit within the club.

    Hope this is a joke!

Every time I see a picture of Maguire, he has a facial expression like he just watched someone kick his dog. I imagine he has a little rain cloud following him around permanently. Maybe if he moves to London he’ll find something to cheer him up I guess.

Nay, nay and thrice nay!! What a terrible buy for west ham. Everything is wrong, his age, pace, ability, wages and attitude a fortnight ago he was sneering at the very idea of an approach by us, suddenly, with Man U shoving him out, he is interested? Is Moyes set on blowing the Dec Dosh on unwanted defenders? Is Moyes trying to balance the accounts at Man U by paying ott fee and sky rocket wages to a fat ego? This move will spend our money on dressing room disharmony and solve nothing.

Not happy with this at all. We could have saved the money & spent it on a footballer, instead ,
