Former Hammer, Modibo Maiga had his contract terminated by Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr last Thursday. The Mali international forward spent three years at West Ham, during which he scored seven goals in 45 appearances pocketing £6m in wages in the process.
Signed from Sochaux in July 2012 for £4.7m, the 28-year-old had two loan spells away from the Hammers during his time with the club, at Queens Park Rangers and French side Metz. He joined Saudi club Al Nassr in June 2015 on a two year contract for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £3.4m.
Maiga had his contract terminated by mutual agreement with the Saudi club last week. He scored just two goals from fifteen appearances in the inferior Saudi professional league.
He is now a free agent and the former Hammer says he would not be opposed to a return to Europe.
Bring him back.Him & Valencia would be a lethal double act hehe
Bloody hell Eddie if that happened Daphne’s parish council would go into meltdown and spontaneously combust:)
Now that would be an after dinner mint experience GW !
The after shock would be felt in Krakatoa ? Lol. 🙂
Valencia ? I thought we sold him already. He certainly wasn’y playing on Sunday.
We only have his body now Fishy. His footballing abilities have already moved on lol
Biggins would be great in the desert,
A great replacement for Magia and at the moment we will be lucky to get £ 3.5 million for him,
If he could not make a living in that standard of football maybe he should try Turkey as they seem to have a poor standard if we got there star play this year,
I saw a post from West Ham Central taking the **** out of Valencia (or Biggins as he’s affectionately known – see I’m down with the kids!) saying he’s the worst player since Savio Nsereko – I think they must have forgotten about Maiga – and he’s eminently forgettable!
I would judge Valencia and Maiga would be much on a par for their degree of uselessness – with Savio taking the overall Title of Biggest Waste of Time and Money!
No mention of Carroll then ?? :-). 🙂
At least when carrolls on the pitch you know hes there (smiley)
Surely, you mean ‘China Doll/Bambi’ – time you got down with us kids!
No, I don’t think it’s fair to class Carroll in with these deadbeats – I remember a couple of really exciting occasions where he’s been at the centre of the action – last season against Chelsea springs to mind!
I know these occasions are few and far between, and his inury record is frustrating but let’s be fair to him!
Michael its only tongue in cheek mate ?
don’t do a mcenroe on us please ? Haha !
:-)? :-)?
🙂
Only after getting the photo out and remembering who he is ? 🙂 ?
Johnboy you can’t keep talking to yourself you will end up in a room with Kevin,
