“Make Me Your Top Earner” | Hammers Reject £37M Crock

It has been confirmed that West Ham were indeed offered Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin by an agent, as C&H’s Sean Whetstone learned this afternoon.

In a surprising twist, the wages demanded by the player would have made him the Hammers’ top earner. This was confirmed by a top West Ham source who revealed that the club rejected the chance to sign the former England international in an eye-watering deal.

Unsurprisingly, Everton’s valuation of up to £37m, together with huge wage demands of up to £130,000 per week, have yielded no interested parties in Calvert-Lewin, whose injury-ravaged career has surely decreased his transfer value rather than increased it.

Clearly, the Merseyside club are desperate for a buyer if they’re hawking around an injury-prone footballer with 12 months remaining on his contract for top money. Calvert Lewin is a decent player on his day but anyone considering investing in the player would be taking a huge financial risk.

Fortunately, as far as West Ham is concerned, it’s a case of thanks, but no thanks.

I thought he was more interested in a modelling career?

  • Jason Dunlop says:

I wouldn’t take that semi pro player for free! So many players out there who have got seriously fortunate and are purely winging it!

  • Matt says:

S** player s*** team , stay well clear of this club

  • Cueball says:

A bullet dodged in my book. I see him as following the Andy Carroll cycle …

    1. Injured
    2. Recovers enough to come on as sub looks poor
    3. Better sub appearance, looks near match fit and makes an impact
    4. Starts a game, struggles
    5. Starts a game …. F*** ME HE’S A WORLD BEATER
    6. Injured

Stop it with these lies, Everton are not touting Calvert Lewin they are trying to tie him down to a new contract. He is not a crock don’t be insulting. Why would he want to go to West Ham where the stadium is half full and the atmoshere is none existent.

    • Tony Smith says:

Westhams London stadium is never half full so get your facts right also most of the comments regarding this player are from Everton fans so lease save your insults for them

  • Haytham says:

Let’s go and get Ivan Toney he is even cheaper

  • Bernardboyd1955@gmail.com says:

Get shout of him as he doesn’t know loyalty after being looked after for so many years while he’s been not that good

  • Barry says:

Everton don’t want to sell, hence the high price. They offered him a new deal but he wants too much cash and thinks he can get that elsewhere. Newcastle baulked at his demands and now West Ham. He is deluded especially given his injury record. He should be biting our hands off on bended knee to re sign after the club and fans stood by him all this time but it’s the oldest story in football that players only think of themselves.

  • Jeeps says:

Everton must believe they are very lucky with their players.
Unfortunately they are putting ridiculous transfer fees on them that is not allowing clubs to bid.
Does mean their super stars are likely to stay
Bottom or top six next season, take your pick.

    • John says:

That’s good as they have been surviving relegation these past few years. I think this year they may not be so lucky

      • Tmo says:

Why do U think they won’t be so lucky.. Top 6 or 7 to bottom 5 all clubs are shite. Everton by law of averages will vsurvive. Maybe they will tinishe a place higher that last season , wham on the other hand will beloer

    • Lin says:

Top 10 Everton West Ham bottom 6
